With an illustrious career spanning over four decades in the film industry, I am honored to serve as the Director of the Lakshan Film Productions(Reg. No.: W R 11491). Our journey commenced with the groundbreaking film “Mangala Gamana,” which earned us the prestigious Guinness Record for producing and directing the Fastest Film in the world.
The international acclaim continued as we secured the Royal Reel Award at the Canadian International Film Festival and received special recognition at the Milano Film Festival in Italy and the International Film Festival in Singapore. Undeterred by our achievements, we embarked on a remarkable feat by directing our next film within 51 hours, setting a new Guinness Record. This cinematic endeavor was showcased in Los Angeles, aiming for qualification in the esteemed Oscar Film Award category.
Our dedication to pushing creative boundaries resulted in the third film, “First and Second,” earning us the NOBLE WORLD RECORD for being produced by the smallest production team globally. Currently, this film stands as a finalist in the Prague Film Festival in the Czech Republic, marking another milestone in our cinematic journey.
Recently I was honored by awarding Global Change Makers Award in recognition of our outstanding leadership and commitment in the field of Art and Culture. Our team attended on their invitation for this festival held on 24th January 2024 at Bangkok, Thailand.
